GUS and institutions shortlisted for four awards at The ESG & Sustainability Awards

Last week, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, was awarded an honorary doctorate in Business Administration for Educational Leadership by the International American University (IAU), during a ceremony held at the university’s campus in Orange County.

Global University Systems today released its 2024 Sustainability Report, detailing substantial progress in sustainability initiatives across its network of 30 institutions worldwide, including its work to provide free access to education to women in Afghanistan, which was recognised with the Gold Award for Best ESG Campaign or Case Study to Reduce Inequality at the 2024 ESG & Sustainability Awards.

GUS Canada has entered a transformative partnership with TECHNATION Canada to augment career readiness among students. This exciting collaboration incorporates TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program into GUS Canada’s curriculum across its institutions, including UNF, UCW, TSOM, CCTB and Trebas Institute.

Earlier this month, Gisma University of Applied Sciences held ‘The Sustainable Technologies and Innovations for Managing SMEs Conference’, at its Potsdam campus.

Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, has been honoured with this year’s Special Award for her outstanding Contribution to International Education in Canada, presented by Glow Ed, Women in International Education.

Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer of Global University Systems, recently spoke at the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), which held its convention in Beijing, China. Around 1,000 delegates came together to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of education.
