FutureLearn campaign wins Gold for Higher Education in Afghan campaign

Global University Systems is proud to announce that FutureLearn’s campaign supporting Afghan women’s education, has been named Gold Winner in the Best ESG Campaign to Reduce Inequality at The ESG & Sustainability Awards 2024.
The campaign took a bold stand against the Taliban’s ban on women’s higher education in Afghanistan by providing Afghan women with free access to its premium digital learning platform. The initiative offers over 1,200 courses from top British universities, including short courses and expert tracks.
By enabling Afghan women to continue their education despite the Taliban’s restrictions, FutureLearn demonstrates a steadfast commitment to educational equality and female empowerment in the face of oppression. The campaign plays a crucial role in maintaining educational opportunities for Afghan women during these challenging times.
