University of Niagara Falls Canada celebrates official grand opening

A new era of education begins in Ontario as the University of Niagara Falls Canada celebrated its grand opening last week.
Marked by a ribbon-cutting and a gala event, community partners, faculty and staff, as well as several dignitaries came together to acknowledge what GUS Canada’s CEO and President of UNF, Cyndi McLeod, called a pivotal moment in Niagara Falls – the launch of a new institution and an important driver for revitalisation efforts in the city’s downtown core.
Nolan Quinn, Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities said: “This new campus will not only elevate educational opportunities but also drive significant economic growth for Niagara Falls and the surrounding regions. I look forward to seeing the impact your students will have on the continued prosperity of Ontario.”
UNF launched two programmes in April and will welcome its largest student cohort yet for the Autumn Term, when all five programmes commence.
