UE Dubai holds inaugural UE Dubai-Honorary Senate meeting

This week, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences Dubai held the newly established UE Dubai-Honorary Senate’s inaugural meeting at its campus.
Under the leadership of Professor Maurits van Rooijen, President of UE and Chief Academic Officer of GUS, the senate comprises a diverse group of distinguished members, including Dr Samer Lezzaiq, Vice-President and Head of Bayer Health Unit, Tobias Maier, CFO Middle East and Africa of Saloodo, Oliver Oehms, CEO of the German Chamber of Commerce, and Faik Serkan Ergun, CFO of Bosch Middle East.
The primary goal of the UE Dubai-Honorary Senate is to foster close collaboration and strengthen ties with the business community in the UAE and to provide students with invaluable industry insights and opportunities.
Professor Maurits van Rooijen said: “As a university of applied sciences, maintaining a close relationship with the industry is essential for us. Through the UE Dubai-Honorary Senate, we’re creating vital touchpoints for both sides.”
