SMUSVM establishes new partnership with McGill University

St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine (SMUSVM) has established a partnership with McGill University to enhance educational pathways for aspiring Canadian veterinarians.
“The world needs more veterinarians, and we are proud to contribute to this by training and educating future practitioners and leaders in animal health care,” shared Dr Samantha Shields, Dean of SMUSVM. Julie Major, PhD, Senior Faculty Lecturer at SMUSVM, added that this partnership offers invaluable preparation for veterinary studies, along with financial support through grants and scholarships to make students’ educational experiences easier to access and navigate.
Students will benefit from hands-on training with small and large animals, unique access to aquatic reptiles and a robust veterinary curriculum in a supportive environment.
