Last week, the London Academy of Trading formed a partnership with ExSIF, the University of Exeter’s Student Investment Fund, a student-led society that promotes understanding and interest in the world of investing and finance.

On Wednesday 20 September, following the announcement of 10 new clinical elective sites in Canada for aspiring doctors, Jerry Wargo, Executive Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment, and Charles Furey, Executive Director of Business Development for GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools, hosted a special dinner event to welcome and strengthen partnerships with new elective site collaborators in Ottawa, Canada.

Last week, The University of Law partnered with The Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) to close the ethnicity degree awarding gap.

On Thursday 28 September, UPES ranked 2nd amongst state universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024. UPES ranked in the 801-1000 band, 9th amongst all private and deemed universities in India and 25th in India. For the first time ever, the World University Rankings include 91 Indian universities. Additionally, India has also become the fourth best-represented nation in the 2024 rankings, up from the sixth last year.

On Thursday 28 September, The University of Law was delighted to announce it had been awarded an overall Silver rating, with a Gold rating for Student Experience and Silver rating for the Student Outcomes in the Office for Students (OfS) Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) for 2023.

On 20 September 2023, at an official side event of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) and FutureLearn announced a partnership to accelerate Education for Sustainable Development in UNESCO learning cities.

Earlier in August, The University of Law was delighted to have been placed in the top quartile of universities in England for overall student satisfaction.

This week, Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited Gisma University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam as part of his constituency summer tour. He discussed the challenges faced by international professionals in Germany with students and university partners, the main obstacle being the language barrier – especially in German HR departments.
