LCCM hosts summer school with Grounded Sounds

The London College of Contemporary Music recently hosted a four-week summer school in partnership with the charity Grounded Sounds, designed to engage young musicians from underrepresented communities.
The intensive programme allowed participants to immerse themselves in music education with a curriculum that includes songwriting, music production, performance techniques and industry insights. The summer school also featured guest lectures from established artists and music industry professionals, providing a well-rounded educational experience.
The programme ended with a final showcase featuring special guest, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, renowned singer from the global pop group Little Mix and Chair of The Black Fund.
Daniela Magni, Youth Music Officer at LCCM, said: “Her presence added a layer of inspiration for the participants, highlighting the importance of supporting diverse voices in the music industry. The Bridge has not only provided a platform for aspiring artists but also strengthened ties between Grounded Sounds and LCCM, paving the way for future collaborations.”
