LCCA students collaborate with Oh Polly to elevate surplus stock for runway

The London College of Contemporary Arts BA Fashion and Foundation Design students collaborated with womenswear retailer Oh Polly to reimagine returned and surplus stock into cutting-edge runway pieces.
The project gave students a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, ignite originality and encourage sustainable practice among the next generation of designers.
Clare Payne, BA Fashion Interim Course Director, highlighted the importance of collaboration to reflect industry practices and expectations while fulfilling an exciting brief to prepare students for their journeys.
Participating groups were evaluated on their ability to push creative boundaries, with judges considering their innovation in upcycling material, technique and attention to detail.
The winning team will be featured on Oh Polly’s website and LinkedIn page.
Shania Pallicer McPherson, Sustainability Coordinator at Oh Polly, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with LCCA and allow these talented students to showcase their creativity in such a meaningful way.”
