Gisma Professor receives innovation award at VPH 20th anniversary celebration

Professor Dr Phungmayo Horam, Professor of Research and Quantitative Methods at Gisma University of Applied Sciences, recently claimed third place at the Verband Privater Hochschulen (VPH) Innovation Awards in the category of research, innovation and university development.
At the 20th anniversary celebration of the VPH Awards, Professor Dr Phungmayo Horam received recognition for his sustainable transfer project, NagaNectar, which explored high-quality honey production and import from India to Europe. The award was accepted by Professor Dr Peter Konhäusner, Vice-President Partnerships and Collaborations at Gisma, who attended the event with Professor Dr Ramon O’Callaghan, President of Gisma.
Professor Dr Phungmayo Horam’s work focuses on the application of economics and management science to provide solutions for sustainable business practice and innovation. The project is an interdisciplinary, phygital approach to bring marketing and farming in India and Europe together.
The VPH, founded in 2004, is the association of private universities in Germany and is currently representing almost 90 institutions throughout Germany.
