Arden University Announces New Psychology Scholarship

Arden University – a leading UK-based provider of flexible, online and blended learning – has announced a new scholarship programme for prospective psychology students.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting students who are keen to embark on careers in the profession, Arden University will be offering 600 scholarships for those joining in 2022 to study either BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS) or BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling.
As well as improving access for students who might be struggling to fund their degree, the scholarship will support Mind, a charity which provides advice and guidance for those experiencing a mental health problem and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.
The value of the psychology scholarship is £1,000, made up of a £950 discount on tuition fees and a £50 donation to Mind – Arden’s charity of the year. If all scholarships are successfully awarded, the total donation to Mind will be £30,000.
Gail Steptoe-Warren, Head of the School of Psychology and social sciences at Arden University said: “
“Psychology is a highly rewarding sector to work in, with graduates from our programmes going on to work in a wide range of vitally important roles all over the world. The Psychology Scholarship will support individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in such a rewarding sector with the cost of their tuition fees, opening access to careers in this field while also raising funds for a very worthy cause.
“To that end, we are pleased that through this initiative we will be able to support Mind, a charity that does so much to support the nation’s mental health and wellbeing, with a £50 donation for each student that successfully applies for a place on a qualifying course through the Psychology Scholarship.”
To be considered eligible for the Psychology Scholarship students must meet the following criteria: be enrolled as a new student at Arden; enrolled on an eligible programme between 1st January 2022 and 31st December 2022 and meet all respective entry requirements to the eligible programme.
This scholarship represents a further commitment from Arden University to offering students – regardless of their background, location or current commitments and priorities – access to the education they need to advance their career and unlock their potential.
It is one of the many ways Arden University is spearheading change in the higher education sector, with its blended learning courses and digital software stimulation in classes giving students around the world access to internationally recognised vocational qualifications and providing them with the real-life skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
